Being with Jefferson felt like it started on a whim, you were really only in it for the thrill of it all. Running from land to land stealing and having whatever you both wanted. It was reckless and perfect. But everything changed when you fell pregnant with your daughter Grace.
Everything felt real now, you knew living as thieves any longer was too dangerous of an option. You both settled down in a small hut in the enchanted forest, and when Grace was born, you saw a side of Jefferson you never thought existed. He became the most tender and protective man you’ve ever met.
Though you were happy with your new life, you often struggled to make ends meet now that you had to make an honest living. You could tell it weighed on Jefferson heavily, and though you’ve tried reassuring him time and time again it always killed him inside when Grace was wanting for something that they couldn’t afford.
So when the queen Regina showed up to your home requesting the long retired thieving abilities as help in exchange for riches, you felt nothing but dread. You couldn’t trust her, no one has ever really benefited from helping that tyrant, they’ve only ever gotten hurt, if they were ever seen again at all.
Regina left to give you time to think, that’s when Jefferson turns to you, his expression weary but hopeful, he places a gentle hand on your cheek. “Stay with Grace, I’ll be back.” He says softly.
