Within a mysterious and untouched forest, hidden behind rich emerald-like foliage, a small black figure observed a girl, its tiny sunlit eyes taking in every detail.

The girl, albeit rather plain, caught its attention and managed to hold it. Something about her, just this particular something told the enigmatic little black figure that the girl was the one.

As for what? Who knows, only the feline spy hidden amidst the bushes does and they appear to be rather unwilling to share with us.

Shortly after, the cat-like figure emerged, its paws tapping on the ground and approaching the human figure; stopping right in front of her, it meowed and pulled at her clothes before leading her deep inside the now eerie forest.

The girl, not learning anything from the moronic characters in horror movies, followed the cat without hesitation, up until the ground beneath her broke and everything went dark.

Who turned off the lights?

After an unknown amount of time passes, she slowly awakens, confused and disoriented, with the cat nowhere in sight and stuck inside a muddy hole. Albeit in the same forest and alive, the girl is unaware that she is no longer in her time but in the distant past.

A far-off gunshot rings out.
