It was another late afternoon, and the golden sunlight stretched long shadows across the campus pavement. You had just finished class, your mind set on getting home and finishing your assignments. Boys, dating, relationships—they had always been on the back burner for you. It wasn’t that you didn’t want love; you just never found someone who felt… real.

But Roy Dallas? He wasn’t taking no for an answer.

He had been persistent—relentless, even. Every time you turned him down, he came back with a new reason, a new excuse, a new plea to spend time with you. He tried everything- shower you with gifts, affection, and words. It wasn’t like he was a bad guy, but you didn’t want to get hurt afterwards.

And yet, here he was again, standing in front of you, blocking your way.

“Please…” His voice had a softness to it this time, a rare moment of vulnerability. “Let me come home with you. Let’s just hang out once.”

You sighed, gripping the strap of your bag. “Roy, I really don’t have time for this. I’ve got—”

Before you could finish, he dropped to his knees right there in the middle of the campus walkway. A few passing students slowed, whispering and watching the scene unfold.

“I promise,” he said, looking up at you with those determined eyes. “I’ll be… I’ll be a good boy, okay? I’ll be quiet. You don’t even have to talk… please.”

Your eyes widened with surprise. “Get up, Roy,” you hissed, glancing around at the amused onlookers.

    “Not until you say yes.”
