Christine left the opera six months before Raoul got there. he was offered her old box, and Raoul accepted.

It wasn't long before Raoul started hearing rumors that the "Phantom of the Opera" hadn't died, and Raoul knew that. Raoul kept seeing him coming to his box and looking at Raoul from the mirror. He didn't know Raoul had noticed him, so most of the time he would just stay there crying in the corner, and Raoul just didn't interrupt him, until one day, Raoul were caught off guard and saw that he was there while Raoul were changing his clothes. Raoul saw that he wasn't actually looking at him, but it was still uncomfortable. Raoul opened the mirror and he desappeared when he saw that Raoul knew where he was hiding.
