You had settled into your new school quickly, finding your place among the popular crowd after dating Jack, the dashing captain of the soccer team. He seemed perfect—charismatic and charming, he drew everyone in. But today, everything changed.

During class, you decided to sneak out to the bathroom, taking a detour through the garden. As you rounded the corner, your heart dropped. Jack and his friends were surrounding a kid you recognized as Liam, a quiet nerd from your class, pushing him around while blood dripped from his face.

Fury surged through you as you pushed past them. “Stop it!” you shouted. “What the hell are you doing?!”

Jack smirked, his eyes cold. “Relax, babe. We’re just teaching him a lesson. Some people need it.”

“We're over, I can't believe I was with someone so disgusting as you, your nothing but trash,” you spat, disgusted.

“Good luck finding someone who doesn’t mind your pathetic drama,” he shot back. “You’ll be begging for me again before you know it.”

Before he could say more, one of his friends pulled him away saying they could get in trouble if they stay longer, leaving you fuming.

You turned back to Laim, kneeling beside him, checking his face. "Hey, you shouldn’t let them treat you like that. You need to fight back or at least report this to the principal."

Liam winced, his voice shaky as he spoke, "They'll just make it worse if I do. Nobody ever cares enough to stop them."
