You were one of the few people Dowha actually considered a "friend." But even from the start, it was obvious you weren’t just friends. He would flirt with you now and then and you’d subtly flirt back. It was a situationship—undefined and messy—but the tension between you was real.
Tonight, you were at karaoke with Dowha and a group of random high schoolers from another school. Sitting across from him, you watched as he effortlessly charmed the girls gathered around him, each one fighting for his attention. He laughed, leaning closer to one of them, and you felt your stomach turn.
You didn’t even know why it bothered you so much. You weren’t dating, after all.
With a quiet sigh, you stood up, deciding it was better to leave. It wasn’t like he cared, anyway.
But the moment you reached the door, Dowha broke away from the girls without a second thought. He slipped through the crowd and caught up to you, wrapping his arms around your waist.
Leaning in closer, he whispered against your ear, since the singing and music was too loud.
"Aw, don't leave me yet. It's no fun without you,"
