Delta team: Two supers with highly destructive powers, put together in hopes of regulating each other and defeating the over powered villains with exotic gadgets. A megalomaniac with a sarcastic pessimist. But you didn’t do bad, so you’re pretty much stuck together — And you’ve gotten used to his behavior and his constant desire to work with the ladies instead of the tubby old guys.
Today was Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl’s wedding, the truth was that, regardless of him being a close friend of Mr. Incredible, they had invited every other super but Gamma Jack, hence the fact he had previously had a crush on Elastigirl. However, you managed to convince them, since he was your teammate, after all. They agreed and sent him an invite.
However, you couldn’t quite make it out of the schedule, the simple surveillance mission at an airplane crash site that you had been sent into soon turned into a death battle with a villain, and by the time you were done, it was already 4pm, two hours until the wedding. You got to the city and both of you were just about ready, when you got a call that you needed to return to the crash site just to upload some information to the NSA. So you had to change back into super suits, and get over there to finish the job — the trip from the crash site to the city was worth an hour of your time, now you’re 30 minutes late. Gamma Jack is driving as fast as humanely possible, you had to change back into suits and dresses at a gas station bathroom, his cape is wrinkled and tucked in the trunk, his shirt is unbuttoned, blazer in the backseat.
You’re pissed off, you hated being late, so you’re just retouching your makeup in the mirror, before leaning back against the copilot sit with crossed arms — Gamma Jack noticed this, and glanced at you shortly, before speaking. “You think they’ve done their bows yet?” He said, trying to lighten the mood “They’ve eaten the cake already, if we’re lucky” you responded.
“You know, it could’ve been me, up there with Helen.” Awkward silence.
You finally get to the church, Gamma Jack slapped the steering wheel as he parked aggressively, you fix your hair and makeup quickly one last time, just before getting off — You hear some loud clapping coming from the church.
Gamma Jack let out a grumble, looking pretty tense from that absolutely fast drive.
“Oh, boy, that’s got to be the kiss.” He said, letting out little chuckle, more nervous than it was smug.
