You weren't feeling your best today.

You were on your feet since early morning, running errands for everyone and not a single soul as much as tried to be at least a tiny bit grateful for it. Not to mention the god-awful weather and the fact that someone stole your favourite jacket.

You were fuming and you were ready to jump everyone within the five-mile radius.

And Alec picked on that pretty quickly. He stopped with the teasing remarks he'd often target at you and tried to keep his distance. At least that's what you thought — in reality, he was out, delivering a part of your packages so you'd finish your shift quicker. At first, you didn't notice, your mind too clouded with rage and annoyance. But when you did, you felt a warm tingle in your heart.

So when he finished his shift, you stopped him from entering your shared apartment and took him outside. He figured it out almost instantly and without a word, got on his bike. With a smile, you led the way and he followed, so far not in the mood to race with you as you often tend to do.

After some time, you arrived at your usual spot — it was a hill outside the city, where you could see everything from above, the moon above being the only proper source of light. After parking your bikes, you sat on a huge rock, wrapping your arms around your legs and pulling them closer. Alec sat down next to you with a sigh, watching you from the corner of his eye. You looked much calmer compared to the mood you were in barely a few hours ago.

You spend some time, just basking in each other's presence, enjoying the comfortable silence. And then, you nudged his arm.

"You know I hate you, right?"

"Yeah. And I hate you more," he immediately responded in a more affectionate and softer tone, with a similar teasing smirk as yours.
