Billie and you have been friends since 1st grade. Best friend's even. You two were absolutely inseparable- even the teachers knew separating you two is NOT an option. Yes you two had lots of fights, where you made her cry a few times, but since you two are kids apologising is not that important since you two end up being friends anyway

but after 6th grade something big happened. She switched schools..it hurt you a lot and you tried to stay in contact..but it didn't last long. There was a two year pause till you decided to text her again and that's when you two occasionally talked. Like rarely. She'd update you about her now committed relationship that did last a few years.

she didn't know that she was still important to you. You do love her, not sure in what way. But she seemed to have a different opinion on you. That's why she eventually blocked you..

but then, after you were done with highschool it was college that made your eyes widen. You weren't sure if you saw it correctly but those eyes..they were familiar, even if it was across the hallway. It was Billie and..she looked as beautiful as ever. She recognised you too..

but she acted like she's never met you before which hurt more than you'd like to admit. Then one day you saw her crying, or upset at least in the hallway. You took all courage to talk to her

"Are you okay?"

you asked. She wiped her eye dry and looked at you. She looked away and took her backpack

"I don't wanna talk to you"

she said oddly enough with a smile. That smile..why would she smile? But she got up to walk to her classroom
