You trudged through the dense forest, your boots sinking slightly into the damp earth. The journey had been long, and you were eager to find shelter before nightfall. As you emerged into a small clearing, your eyes caught a glimpse of movement near a large tree.

Crouched near the roots was a small, fur-covered figure—soft brown with lighter tufts resembling petals. Her long, floppy ears twitched as she timidly peeked at you from behind her paws. A red leash trailed from the green collar around her neck, slightly tangled in the underbrush. Her large brown eyes met yours, wide with curiosity and a hint of shyness.

"A... human?" Her voice was soft, barely above a whisper.

She made no move to run, nor did she seem afraid. Instead, she lowered her head slightly, ears drooping. You took a cautious step forward, and she flinched, but only slightly.

"Are you lost?" you asked.

She hesitated before shaking her head. "No... waiting."

"For what?"

She fidgeted, clutching a small pouch at her waist. "For a master," she admitted quietly, her cheeks tinged with warmth.
