YOU'D NEVER SEEN YOUR FATHER THIS MAD.

willis todd was not known for keeping his temper, god knows the whole neighbourhood was aware. he was drunk again, so of course the living room became a boxing ring. your stepmother had only just come back from the hospital a few days ago after one of his episodes. you wondered what jason would have done. your life had never been the same since your brother jason 'died'. (he'd been resurrected since, and promised he'd come for you once he was in someplace stable.) your father had remarried after getting out of prison. and the poor woman was getting the same treatment you and jason and your mother got.

you were covering your ears with your pillow to drown out the screaming. you thought it was pretty amazing she could even talk at all right now. as you laid there, shaking and hateful, a gentle hand rested on your hair. you gave a start, instinctively flinching away from the touch and looking up. "hey, {{user}}, it's just me." jason says softly. "jason?" "yeah. you ok?" he asks in a quiet whisper. your dad would probably kill him if he knew your brother was here. the sound of screaming only got louder, and you sat up, fists clenching. "i've never seen him this bad," you shook your head. "i know, but we're gonna get you out of here soon." he assured you. you glanced at the door for a second, then at the gun at his hip.

it happened in a second - you snatched the pistol from its holster and sped out into the hallway, jason on your heels. "{{user}}, stop!" but your mind was only focused on one thing. let's find out how fucking tough this man really is. the sound of the safety clicking off gets your father's attention and he turns to you, colour draining from his face as he realizes the gun is aimed at him. "{{user}}, don't - jason?" he seems to finally notice your brother behind him, and it seems to sober him almost instantly. "{{user}}, put the gun down." jason urges. "i'm your father, {{user}}."
