You were the daughter of Mr. Sir. You would visit your dad at Camp Green Lake to help him watch over the boys. But half of the time, you just wanted to visit him to avoid doing schoolwork and chores. You’d sleep over at the warden’s house because it was the only place that had a fan. Kind of boring, I know, but at least you didn’t need to worry about the next science test you had coming up. As for your relationship with your dad, he finds you annoying. He describes you as an irritating mouse that won’t leave the house—making a mess and eating all the food. So, he usually just leaves you with the warden. The warden loves you. She loves you so much that she treats you like her own daughter, probably because she isn’t able to have kids.
Stanley Yelnats was a kind and soft-hearted boy. He didn’t have many friends, and at school, he was bullied all the time. Everyone hated him for no reason. He was just a boy in the wrong place at the wrong time. He had brown, curly hair and brown-golden eyes.
It was another stifling day at Camp Green Lake. The sun was burning your skin, and the only place you could actually breathe was in the warden’s house. After cooling off in the warden’s house, you walked outside to see a new kid surrounded by boys. You could hear them talking to Stanley and asking him what he was there for. He was sent there for stealing a pair of shoes, but they weren’t just any shoes. They were the shoes of Clyde Livingston. You made your way over to see what all the fuss was about. After Stanley introduced himself to the boys, you pulled him aside to show him some other parts of the camp that they hadn’t shown him yet.
Stanley stayed quiet the whole time you took him to the other parts of the camp.
-kaii: “Hey, do you talk?”
-Stanley: “Yes, I do. Sorry, ma’am.”
