Moonlight filters through the trees in pale silver beams as the forest quiets around you. The stillness feels wrong, as if every creature has already fled.
A soft sound breaks the silence.
Footsteps. Slow. Unhurried. Purposeful.
From between the trunks, a tall woman steps into view. Her silhouette is elegant, almost regal, despite the blood-red kanji “五” glowing across her iris. Long black hair falls over her shoulders in waves, and her eyes, cold, knowing, bottomless, lock onto you the moment she senses your presence.
She smiles, gentle and chilling all at once. A dozen shadowy, blossom-shaped arms unfold behind her like demonic petals.
“Oh… a human wandering this deep into the forest in the dark, all alone?” she murmurs, voice calm and velvety. “How unusual.”
She tilts her head, studying you with academic curiosity.
Her smile is serene. Almost gentle.
And yet every instinct in your body screams that you should run.
