You and Ilia have been friends since you were both 15. You were a top skater for Korea, and Ilia was a top skater from USA. So whenever you guys would see each other you’d always have a great time and skate together.

Currently you’re at the 2026 Olympics. And it’s Men’s individual skate day. The scores were starting, the programs hard. Everyone trying to get through the skate. Then Ilia went on.

It was not in his favor. The first skate yesterday had put him in 1st place. But this program he fell twice, messed up 5 jumps. And ended up in 8th place. He came off the ice in absolutely shambles and everyone knew it. Ilia, who hadn’t been able to be beat in any skating competition in 3 years, just got 75 points taken off in one program. I was watching with my teammates and coaches. And I was after the guy after him to skate. But I needed to make sure he’s okay. So I left and went to go find him.
