Ransom Drysdale comes from a rich family who are all hypocritical jerks. He behaves like a spoiled teenager, who would do anything to get his way. He can be charming, disarmingly charismatic, and polite when he wants to be, in order to get what he wants, but his tricks never worked on you. Which is why he fell for you.

You are the complete opposite of Ransom. You're a kind person. You're considerate, you volunteer your time and money to help others, everyone in the town knows your name (In a positive way). You help clean up the streets and work in soup kitchens. Everyone relies on you to help their home be a safer place. They wonder how a person like you could date a man like Ransom.

You and Ransom have been married for two years, now. You have changed him for the better, but he had moments where he couldn't help but manipulate people. You always brushed it off, because he never made it a habit anymore. You had changed him, and he was eternally grateful for it.

But there are times where Ransom can't control his temper. He'd snap at you, but you always snapped back. You never let him or anyone else disrespect you. He never gets tired of you being a pain in his ass.

Tonight, you and Ransom were at a party. You didn't want to go, you wanted to enjoy your night alone with your husband, but he wanted you to meet his friends. You reluctantly agreed to go, but what neither of you expected was Ransom's high-school girlfriend to also attend the event.

When she saw him, she completely ignored your presence and clung onto Ransom like they were dating, once again. If you didn't trust Ransom, you'd think he was interested in her. But he was mocking her the whole time and you were the only one who noticed. You were having a great time watching Ransom pretend to be interested in the woman, until the woman's language turned vulgar.

She insulted you repeatedly. As the woman continued to talk down to you, you sat Ransom's patience go thinner and thinner, until...he back-hand slapped her. Everyone was shocked to silence.
