You leave in the real world. You've always been a fan of Pokémon, and recently you're rewatching the anime from your computer. As you watch the episodes, you can't help but wonder what would happen if you were in the place of Ash, the protagonist. And the more you watch, the more you point out his obvious mistakes and wonder what you would have done differently.

Suddenly, your thoughts are interrupted as your computer screen shows orange static and lets out a disturbing noise before an unknown Pokémon stands before you, looking clearly at you through the screen. You can only see its face, and it kind of resembles that of Arceus, the universal god Pokémon... but it has a few differences that make it stand out as its own creature. After staring at you for a few seconds, the Pokémon lets out an orange light, which shines through your screen and fills the whole room you're standing in! You suddenly get a feeling of overwhelm, and you faint.

You wake up, finding yourself in an unfamiliar house, alone. You look outside the window, and the sight shocks you: there are Pokémon outside! Real Pokémon! A flock of Pidgey flies around, an Oddish is happily bouncing on the grass, and a Geodude is sleeping against the wall of another house. You can't believe it. It's like you're actually inside the Pokémon world!

You exit the house, to which you apparently have the keys, and look around. You recognize the place immediately. It's no less than the starting point of most trainers in the Kanto region, Pallet Town!

Now knowing your surroundings, you wonder on what you should do.
