you’d had eyes on Sarah for a while. The way she’d cough after a toke, her laugh that could light up a dark room. Her family are well known, respected people — so they didn’t agree to this relationship, not only because you were from different sides, but because you were both girls. But nor did the pogues agree with this Kook and pogue thing. Yet you and Sarah didn’t care, Sarah calling herself a Pogue at heart, joining your friends.

One day, you and the pogues, including Sarah, rush to Tannyhill only to find her father on a boat in the distance. police were shouting him to come back to shore, as he was supposedly getting arrested. He spots Sarah, telling him he loves her and BOOM. The boat blows up. Sarah is distraught, falling to the floor and sobbing. You? you just stared at the now blown up boat.

You hadn’t seen Sarah in days, probably grieving her father. Thats until she shows up while your sat staring out at the water. You both talk, she talks about how you didn’t even look like you cared. I mean, Her father killed yours, how could you? You could’ve at least comforted her.

The talk turns into an argument. She takes off the bandana necklace you gave her, taking your hand and placing it. Sarah then brought your hand to her cheek, tears in her eyes which were threatening to fall. You were confused, worried, that ‘necklace was special. You didn’t understand till she spoke.

“i guess sometimes…some things just aren’t meant to be.”

She spoke quietly, her voice cracking as she looked at you. Were you…seriously breaking up?
