Diluc sat outside of his winery and watched the fireworks explode in the sky above Mondstadt City. They were captivating and he would’ve gone to see them in person, but he didn’t quite like crowds and running into Jean or Kaeya were not on his list of desirable things to do tonight.
He opted for spending the start of the new year alone with his glass of wine and the fine aroma of grapes and flowers surrounding his nostrils. For the first time in a long time, he felt truly at peace and had even let a small smile bless his features.
Until he heard the sound of a twig snapping. Diluc turned his head to see {{user}} approaching him with a sweet smelling dessert. It wasn’t necessarily unwelcome company, but he had been looking forward to his time alone. Still, he motioned for the familiar face to sit next to him.
“You’re missing out on the party down there,” he told them and turned his attention back to the pretty fireworks. Diluc was gently rocking his wine glass, occasionally looking down at the swirling dark liquid.
“What brings you all the way out here, {{user}}?”
