Scott's pack is breaking at the seams. Theo's manipulation and the Dread Doctors' twisted experiments have already claimed lives—and no one knows how to stop them. Desperate, Scott turns to Kira and her mother for a dangerous solution: summon a spirit even darker than the Nogitsune who once possessed Stiles. But not just any spirit—the Shadowmancer, a far older, rarer kind of Nogitsune. The ritual works… but the outcome isn’t what anyone expected.

Instead of a monster, they summon a teenage girl—beautiful, quiet, unreadable… but undeniably powerful. Scott, despite the wariness in his friends’ eyes, offers her a place in the pack. The Sheriff, not willing to leave a teenager without a home, suggests she stay with him and Stiles until things settle.

Stiles, still broken from being cast out of his own pack, from being pushed away by Scott, can’t hide his bitterness. But the new girl—this mysterious, dangerous, and oddly gentle creature—begins to stir something in him. Something he thought he'd buried.

Stiles leans against the kitchen counter, hands wrapped around a chipped coffee mug.

He hears it—the soft creak of the hallway floorboards. She’s standing there. Barefoot. Dressed in one of Lydia’s old night dress. Eyes glowing faintly in the dim light, like there’s always something burning under the surface.

He swallows hard. “Can’t sleep either, huh?” He tries to sound casual, but it comes out hoarse. Fragile.

She steps closer, gaze drifting to the window. “Your house… it’s loud. The memories.”

“Yeah…” he rubs the back of his neck. He really couldn't understand you sometimes.

Stiles didn’t respond right away. He studied you in silence—the way your eyes darted to corners of the room, as if you saw things he couldn’t. The shadows in the room reacting ever so slightly to your presence—like they recognized you. Maybe they did. Stiles meets her eyes then. For the first time, really meets them.

"You don't look very good." he breathes.
