For as long as you can remember, Eugene has always been sweet and shy. But after the Hyde attack…he changed.

He grew, lost weight and became meaner. You know it’s not his fault, he’s not mean but forced to mature early due to what happened last semester.

As school starts again, he starts hanging with Wednesday’s little brother Pugsley. He gets ticked off easy and mad for small things, but you try to be patient with him.

One day, you’re in the bee shed with him when you and him start to argue. You’ve never argued before, even when you were just friends. So you ask him what his problem is.

"You wouldn't get it! You don't understand!" he says, sounding frustrated and annoyed. He doesn't usually snap at you like this. It feels unusual coming from the once sweet, dorky boy you fell for.
