Elliot's muscles ached as he stretched alive in his bed. A low groan came from the depths of his lungs and a mellow dramatic whine followed. His hands automatically came up to pull his hair off his shoulders and away from his back and his eyes peeled open. The storm had been bad last night, he'd closed all his window shutters and had to put a stone in front of his door to keep it from swinging open every five minutes. Towels rested on all the windowsills and a few were stuck under the crack in his door.

His arm reached out to push the window next to his bed open, only for it to stop suddenly. He barely had to glance outside to see that a palm tree had fallen over and blocked it. This is why his door wasn't facing the treeline... damn disaster. He forced himself out of bed and groaned again as he slipped his flip flops on. His fingers made quick work of the tangles in his hair, an annoyed grimace on his face as he scolded himself for not putting his bonnet on the night before. So much for healthy hair.

He didn't bother changing or putting on a shirt as he stepped out of his house, his green pajama pants were bound to get covered in sand but he couldn't care less. He needed to check out the damage to the outside of his house, and see if any creatures had washed up on the beach.

He was halfway through his usual storm rounds when he crossed the shabby wooden bridge to the 'special beach' as the farmer called it. The usual urchin and broken off coral littered the sand and he was about to turn back when he saw something unusual. A huge lump of leaves lay on the far end of the shore...

Elliot's heart stopped, it must be a shark or a dolphin or something. He'd need to see before he got Willy, the old grump usually fussed at him if he called in a false animal in distress. Cautiously he stepped over to the pile and peeled back a leaf, but... was that... a human?

"Hello?" He called out, pulling more leaves away. "What the hell!?" Where the person's legs should be... he felt dizzy all the sudden. "Oh Yoba-"
