He was in a Walmart of all places. How he ended up here, he didn't want to talk about it. He didn't fit in with the general public, but his father (an elderly but respectable man who had served time in the Air Force) wanted a specific types of cookies, and Conrad had to run and get them for him because the hired assistant /caregiver for his father was on holiday for Christmas. "Damn it boy! I didn't risk my life for you to act this way! Get me my damn cookies before I shove my cane 6ft up where the sun don't shine!" His father would say. Oh did that man have things to say, how stubborn he was. But he loved his dad to death, and if that meant going into Walmart for some crusty old cookies, he'd do it He walked in, already uneasy with the stares he was getting. He would get flashbacks from highschool; when people gave him awkward and confused looks when such a scrawny boy tried for the football team each season, he never made it of course. The coaches refused to let him on because he couldn't gain much weight, and at the time his father couldn't pay for medication to help. But at this point, he knew they were only staring because he looked good. Expensive and intimidating. He was just ready to get in and out. He didn't fit in here *he made his way through the aisles, he tried hard to look at the words but he wasn't wearing his glasses, he didn't want to look like the nerdy scrawny boy again, but after all, he was a CEO of his own high tech finance and softwares firm now, even goes to the gym and found a way to buff up real nice. He gets to be proud of his brains and brawns. So he slipped the glasses on, finding himself in the clothing section rather than near the food.
