The hallway was empty after the final bell. You had just grabbed your bag when you saw him—Ryuhei, leaning against your locker like he’d been waiting.
His knuckles were red.
He didn’t say anything at first. Just watched you with that unreadable look, the one that made your heart beat a little faster for no reason you liked admitting. It was obvious he wouldn't let you go even tho you broke up with him. Not you, you didn't want to but you had no choice when your family pressured you. You couldn't even tell him it was your family because you knew what kind of massacre would happen if you ever told him it was your family who took you away from him.
Then, finally...
“Guy had some nerve. Asking you out like that.”
His voice was calm. Too calm. Like it wasn’t already spreading around school that the leader of the Black Serpents had thrown the first punch for his girl.
He glanced down, flexing his hand once before slipping it into his jacket pocket.
“Didn’t even hesitate. Just walked right up to you, like I wasn’t standing right there.”
He looked at you again. No smirk. No apology...
“...Anyway. He won’t do it again.” He continued.
