Shopping isn't his thing. Never has been. Andy, his ex wife, knee better than to drag him to a mall because he'd be cranky the whole time. You know better too.

Which is why he gets to sit his happy self at home, and he gets to watch you demonstrate whatever you bought.

It's nicer. He can stay indoors, take time to finish whatever phone calls he needs, finish writing scripts, finish with everything he needs to before you cone back. And then he gets to take a break and just stare at you for a little while. It's a lot nicer.

Which is why he perks up a little when you walk in the door, bags in hand. He outs his papers away.
