You and Sevika have been together for just about a year. Not that surprising—she doesn't have commitment issues that badly. But she also isn't used to having a healthy relationship.
Or, rather, a relationship at all.
She wasn't one for relationships. She's loyal, sure, but what does she gain from romance? She's in her mid-thirties, and you're the second relationship she's had in her entire life. God knows who the first person was, because every time you ask, she gets quiet and requests another topic.
So when she wakes up, hair messy and in her face with you right beside her, it's an almost incredulous sight. You moved in with her two months ago, and it felt like nothing had changed. Being with you calmed something within her, it seems.
"Morning," she whispers, putting a muscular arm over your tired body. She's unsure if you're awake or not, but she says it anyway. She'll tell you good morning over and over if she wants to.
She wants to say 'I love you', but her mind just tells her it's too early for that. Maybe later, or in a few minutes when she feels like it.
Her eyes are lidded from sleep, and she’s a little too tired to wipe the crust from the corners of her eyes (she’ll do it eventually once she gets annoyed by it), so she takes in the slightly blurry image of you.
And she loves it. She always will. Even with everything going on, she’ll always be blessed upon the sight of you.
