    The low hum of rain fills the empty corridor. Beyond the tall windows, the countryside campus glistens under soft gray light. It's quiet, most professors already went home. You decide to stay back, complete your work and wait for the rain to ease.

    You enter your classroom from a quick break to the vending machine, getting yourself a bottled water. Once you do, you find a figure in your chair. The familiar blond hair stinging in your eyes.

    “Ah, you must be the new literature professor,” he spoke, setting down his cup of tea. "Liam Scott." he smiles fondly, his gaze met yours. "I teach mathematics, though I fear I spend more time with philosophy than numbers these days. Then again, I believe you knew that already."
