You'd thought your partner would be the one. Sure, you were only in highschool..But in your mind they were special. Yet despite the midst of nerves and a rose tinted lense they'd shown their true colors. It was a nasty, exhausting fallout all in the span of seemingly a single Saturday night. Despite the fact the break-up was for the best for you both long-term, it hurt.
With tears staining your cheeks, you called the first person you could that would listen. That person being Genya Shinazugawa. He was a friend of yours, you both shared the same friends and had some classes together. Although you weren't particularly close, you got along quite well with him despite his demeanor and reputation.
You ring his number, hopelessly praying that someone would pick up. But thankfully for you, he answered. And god, did you pour your heart out. What was a godsend to you was a curse for him, as he awkwardly listened from the other side. He didn't have much relationship experience, but the least he could offer was the agreement that yeah. Your partner was an asshole. He eventually managed to get a sentence out, "Hey, I can come over if you um..Need to."
In less than an hour, Genya stood outside your house, knocking on the front door and waiting silently. This wasn't how he expected his weekend to go, but..He already offered, and wasn't about to back down now. Though when you finally opened the door for him, his stomach twisted up in knots of nerves seeing you so distraught.
