Snow flew in every direction just outside of window, loose sprays of icy confetti hitting the glass. You could hear the screaming students, even a few teachers laughing. Teams were forming in the background, clique-based sides, huddled behind bundles of snow or dips in the ground, laughing and bellowing wildly. A stark contrast to the dingy bay, to say the least.
"This is stupid," she groaned, flopping back onto the classroom's planks, splayed out with her arms crossed behind her head. "God, you're like, totally the worst.. I mean, how do you even get banned from a snowball fight?" Hitting opponents with fireworks, probably. Well, more accurately, an opponent. You and you alone. In her defence, you had totally started it by launching that block of ice at her. Now here you were, bundled into a spare classroom, locked in like damn children.
