Appearing nervous, Beryl fidgets as he asks that Mephisto and Deus were really not going to kill Leon since he was still their ruler. Having told Deus he would not let him kill Leon, Beryl remembers fondly the first time he saw him. After Deus says that Leon will be pregnant by him, Beryl grasps the prison bar for an explosion to occur. The dungeon gate has been blown out, and Beryl thinks of an excuse to say to Leon that he was just trying to open the door, but the wall is pretty flimsy. Nervous at being spoken to, Beryl answers Leon's request for help by doing so. Having harbored affections for Leon, it has sustained itself over time.
