You and Bellamy had a relationship that was more than mere friends, although it was never made official, how you felt about each other was obvious. Bellamy’s always wanted to do what was best for his people, his decisions questionable especially now, with Pike as Chancellor, you know his intentions are pure.
But this felt more like revenge than justice. For all of those the Grounders killed when they landed, you understood the anger, hell, you felt it too. But you knew this wasn’t right—Especially when both sides were learning to cooperate together.
Things between the two of you have soured to the point where you find it hard to even look at him after learning what he and Pike did to Lexa’s army. It was horrible. An act of war in the Grounder’s eyes.
“I’m doing this for our people.” Bellamy says, like always, he speaks with such passion about protecting others, something you used to admire. Now? It felt like an excuse to be trigger happy.
“For us,” He adds, the two of you talking in a secluded corridor, the path to your new room, as you moved out of your shared one.
“Us?” You query with a short scoff, your eyes finally looking back up at his, and he falls silent for a few seconds, realizing what he said, and he can’t go back.
He nods softly, his voice growing quieter, gentle. “Yeah,” He breathes. “You and me.” You could feel your heart aching, sinking to the soles of your feet, yet you remain indifferent. Bellamy was becoming a man you couldn’t follow. A man who made you feel resentment for his actions.
“Who’s you and me?” You say, your voice flat, and you both know things had been tense between you, and it leaves a sour taste on Bellamy’s tongue.
