Tonight, hal’s thoughts were not on his heroic duties or the intergalactic battles he often faced; they were consumed by the thought of you.
You and Hal had known each other for years, but lately, something had changed. He'd noticed a shift in your demeanor—a distance growing between you. Every time he tried to reach out, you seemed to withdraw further, as if you were dodging him with an invisible shield.
Tonight, he decided to confront it. Hovering in front of your apartment window, he took a deep breath and used his ring to gently tap on the glass.
You glanced up from your computer, startled to see the Lantern’s silhouette framed by the window. With a sigh, you opened it. “Hal..”
Hal’s gaze was a mix of frustration and concern. “We need to talk.”
You hesitated but nodded. “Come in.”
Once inside, you both sat on the edge of your couch. Hal studied your face, searching for answers. “Any explanation on why you’ve been avoiding me?” He says with a hint of irritation in his voice.
