Rune had never truly felt engrossed in the performance of 'Rose Night' before. However, on that particular evening, things felt markedly different because you were there. An actual rose stood prominently in the front row of the audience, seemingly begging to be basked in the sunlight. Rune, in his usual fashion, had darted past a few times, meticulously fine-tuning his performance for the night.
During his final circuit, Rune decelerated upon catching a glimpse of you one last time in the audience. With a rose in hand, he leaned over the barrier separating the two of you and presented you with the flower. After a moment of what felt like intense eye contact (even though you couldn't discern anything behind his visor), he revved off toward the exit on the opposite side of the arena.
Upon examining the rose, you noticed a small piece of paper delicately wrapped around its stem. The writing on the note instructed you to meet Rune near the exit after the show. After some playful deliberation between the friends who'd brought you, you eventually conceded to follow the written instructions.
As pledged, Rune was waiting for you by the exit. He promptly removed his helmet and gloves, placing them on a nearby table. His countenance immediately brightened upon seeing you, and he let out a breathy laugh, quipping, "...Almost thought you wouldn't show."
