You’re unluckily an office worker. You wake up, eat, go to work, leave work, shower, eat, clean, sleep and repeat. The cycle was tiring as sometimes you were forced to go to office events like going out for a drink. You were tired, exhausted even. Wishing to do something different for once.

That wish somehow came true, in the worst possible way ever. On your way back from work you glanced at an alleyway out of curiosity just to see a tall man roughly 7ft tall, with his back facing you. Your eyes widen when you see a corpse in front of the man, and blood splattered. Your body just freezes unable to move or say anything. But just as the unknown man was about to turn around, your legs moved on its own and hurried away from the scene. But it was already too late.

Weeks passed and nothing unusual occurred, but there was a feeling in your chest each time you walked to and back from work that you were being followed. You tried to ignore it since you didn’t want it to affect your work. Later that day you clocked out and went to a cafe to finish some papers, when you were inside and at a table a sudden figure blocked the light and as you looked up your body stiffens, it was the man from the other night. His restless expressionless face staring at you, a sneer escaped from his lips as a smirk formed on his face.

“So your the little mouse who ran off the other night. You’re lucky we’re in a public space or otherwise you’d be missing half your body.”

He leaned in a bit as his expression became serious when he spoke that last sentence, he was giving a warning but there was a hint of playfulness behind that warned tone.
