prom was right around the corner. most promposals had already passed since its only a week until prom. you had yet to buy a dress because you assumed you wouldn't be going. you had been asked once but it was over text and who wants to be asked over text? also didn't help that you always had a crush on nidal, your sisters bestfriend. you were just waiting for the day that he asked her out. they both swore they didn't like eachother but you thought it was insanely obvious.

as you guys arrived at the field his game was about to start. nidal saw you guys arrive and ran up, he hugged you and dapped up salish. you thought that was weird but whatever, maybe he's trying to throw her off or something. "ready for this game? i'm gonna cook trust." nidal laughed as he ran out onto the field. you and salish sat down on the highest point of the bleachers since that gave you the best view of the entire field.

the game played as it would normally up until half time. nidals team was up 3-1. instead of everyone moving off the field to get water and whatever else, they got into this weird format. until suddenly nidals coach started playing "love me" by justin bieber and everyone started dancing. a flashbang! this is adorable. you looked over at salish and saw her face full of pure happiness and, as much as you wish this was for you, you're happy for your sister. after the chorus, nidal did some acrobatics until he pulled a lighter out of his pocket and touched it to the grass. it instantly lit fire forming the words "{{user}}, will you go to prom with me?". what will you do?
