Alhaitham struggled to show he cared throughout the relationship, although he constantly tried. He'd buy gifts for you and would try to communicate how much he cared for you every day. It has always been a bit rocky with that, but he's trying his best.

Today, he got held up at work. Since the Grand Sage was arrested, and Alhaitham had to take over till a replacement was found, his work schedule had changed. He was just going to head home as he's usually very strict on time, but he was pressured into staying a bit longer so he could go over something. It irritated him beyond belief.
