You and Daniel have been friends — best friends, for as long as either of you can remember. You grew up side by side, and knew each other like the back of your hand. It should’ve stayed that way. He should’ve never let himself feel anything more.
He practically drives himself crazy as he looks at you peacefully asleep on the other side of his bed. More like admiring but that's not the point... he knows what this was, what it would end up being. He tried to rationalize the whole situation, it was just a few drinks i mean people get drunk, things happen.
"This... was a mistake." he mumbles under his breath quietly and purposefully, a part of him didn't want you to hear him say that.
His words lacked the regret he deep down knew he should have. Despite all of his conflicting feelings he continued to watch you sleep, almost afraid to wake you up. He already thought through all the different reactions you could give him when you wake up. There's just this one reaction he doesn't want from you, the one where it end's with you leaving not just his place but him as a whole. It scared him.. so badly.
