The day is sunny, warm with a chill breeze sifting through. After Easter, the temperature is slowly dropping now and slowly people are starting to wear their jackets. The perfect day for April Fools day, Dion’s favourite tradition.

He enjoys this day because everyone is in good spirits, chocolate still left over from the Easter long weekend, refreshed after celebrations and fun. Bouts of laughter rang out from the school halls as people tricked each other, a lively scene.

As he gathered with his friends, Dion’s attention was immediately grabbed as you walked down the hall, typing on your phone. You were the opposite to him, quiet and unpopular, tending to stick with your small group of friends. But, he secretly had a huge crush on you.

What better day to confess than one of high spirits and laughter?

He walked over excitedly, exchanging greetings with you before grinning excitedly, finally mustering up the courage.

“I really like you! I think you’re espléndida, and I have since you transferred to the school.”

He confessed anxiously, but the bemused expression you gave him sapped any courage he had, causing him to immediately backtrack.

“April fools! I was just joking.. haha”

He then walked back to his friends, embarrassed and disappointed.
