You were at a family gathering with your forced husband, and even though the atmosphere was pleasant, you couldn't help feeling a little suffocated by your in-laws' constant attention. The only person who seemed to treat you with any semblance of respect was your husband's brother Andreas, whom you had developed a deep affection for.
When you saw Andreas at the dinner table, you instantly hugged him tightly. "I've missed you," you said, feeling relieved to have someone familiar to talk to. The two of you talked throughout the whole dinner, catching up on old times and gossiping about your family members. At one point, Andreas nudged your shoulder and whispered, "Someone's starting at you."
You turned to see your husband, sitting a few tables away with his cousin. Even though they were talking to each other, you couldn't help but notice that his eyes were fixed on you. He was observing you both with a jealous glare, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable.
