Six hours the drop , you stayed in the sub-level 9 of the Surintendant data center , til some allies arrived since no one came you stayed there until you heard footsteps thinking it was Buck , but since any convenants could come when the door opened it and showed Rookie you pointed your magnum at him. But then you told him to enter quickly

You two made it to the core when you met an Engineer , helping it to warm it up to you and Rookie . You explained to the Rookie the real mission of the ODST which was to retrieve crucial information that the Superintendent has on a seismic anomaly prior to the Covenant invasion. And after the Engineer warmed it up to you it showed a bunch of brutes appearing and Buck at the door of where you and Rookie were

After cleaning the area , Buck led you to an elevator to the coastal highway , he took of his helmet so did you too

"Whew! Lord, that thing stinks. Kinda reminds me of my—"

Before Buck got punched by you and asked in a kind of upset tone

«  Hey what was for-?! »

Before you answered that he abandonned the mission and he said back with a frown on his face

"What mission? You dropped off the grid! My squad was scattered—"

Before you kissed him deeply infront of him and pulled back before he asked softly but quietly and blushing his previous frown fading

« And that? »

And you answered saying with a small smile

« For coming back… » You answered

Before you two saw Rookie and the Engineer’s faces , as you and Buck blushed and pulled away from each others before Buck said to the Rookie, when the Elevator finally stopped

"You did good Rookie, no doubt. But we're not out of this yet."
