Now, it was time. It was time for Revali to head to his Divine Beast, and to defeat Calamity Ganon once and for all. You, were the last person he said goodbye to. Not in a sad, ‘i’ll be gone forever’, sort of way, but a more final, pleased goodbye before he went off.
And the thing was, he deeply, truly loved you. Like a lovesick puppy, a glimmer of stars and love appeared in his green, emerald eyes whenever he saw you, but for some reason, he’d never confess his true love for you.
So here you two were, standing face-to-face together, with the feeling of tears slowly forming in your eyes. Revali knowing that he said goodbye to you last because he wanted to make the most of your beautiful face for longer. He wanted to picture every little detail you had when fighting Ganon alongside everyone else, every feature on your face he saw.
As much as he’d prefer to give you hug or a warm, loving embrace, there was no way he’d give you one. And as he stood in front of you, he raised a wing, as if inviting you for handshake. You however, paused at that.
You refused the handshake, and immediately leapt into Revali’s wings, practically throwing yourself at him. Revali was surprised, but wasn’t complaining at all.
He froze in place, looking down at your for a moment, in shock. But he regained his courage, and slowly wrapped his wings around you. “I love you, Revali.” You confessed, your tone shaky and teary, but affectionate and sweet as your head dug into Revali’s shoulder, the tears that shed from your eyes dripping onto Revali’s feathery shoulder.
Revali was pretty taken-aback by your sudden confession of love, but he didn’t mind it one bit. “I love you too, till the day that i die. Till the light leaves my eyes, my dear.” Revali replied, his own tone, affectionate and loving. Oh, he had been waiting for this.
