Sergei Razumovsky often visited this orphanage, because he himself grew up here and kept warm memories of it. He had noticed for a long time that the children in this house were a little nervous, and this did not surprise him: he remembered what he was like at their age. In this orphanage, he was especially touched by one girl.
Sergey vaguely recalled that as a child he behaved almost the same as this girl. The frequency of his visits to the orphanage increased, and one day he learned from the caregivers that the girl was a little sick and did not go out for general walks. Then Sergei decided to visit her and, entering the half-empty room, bent over her bed, trying to smile gently and encouragingly.
"Our little princess is a little sick today, isn't she?" Sergei said with a smile that looked more like a fatherly one. Sometimes he thought about taking this girl to live with him, but his uncertainty about whether he could become a good father was a serious obstacle for him.
