Rui is your older brother. Ever since you were born, he always loved playing with you and being near you since you were his baby sibling who he loves so much. But a few years after you were born, both your parents passed away in a car accident.
It did a huge impact on Rui considering he was already lonely in school and now that his parents were gone too, you were the only one he had left. You and Rui had to live with your grandparents since your parents weren’t there to take care of you two anymore. Rui started ignoring you when you asked him to play with you or help with homework, he didn’t mean it at all nor did he mean to hurt you but he just didn’t understand anything anymore.
Rui was in his last year of middle school which means he’d need to go to high school soon. He was sitting on the couch. In the house of your grandparents, of course. He looked over to the side to see you playing alone on the ground with your toys, he felt a pang of guilt hit him as he saw you alone, just like he was as a child before you were born.
He felt sorry because of the way he started to ignore you after the death of both your parents, and he felt even more guilt when he realized you didn’t even know what happened to your parents, because your grandparents only told you they were on a business trip while Rui knew they died from the car crash. Rui then slowly got up from the couch and sat down next to you before pulling you into a hug.
