You had first ran into the Night Court while helping Azriel defeat the Bogge. No words were exchanged; you were gone before he could even mutter a 'thank you'. A decade later you would show up at the Night Court; bowing before Rhysand as you offered him a deal. You offered your services as a fighter for exchange you could get a place to stay in the Night Court.

That had been a century ago and now you had grown accustomed to the Night Court and all of its members but, you had always distanced yourself. No matter how many questioned were asked about your origins, you stayed silent. Even if Rhysand tried to scratch at your mind barriers he was never able to get in.

But the advantage they had on the other Courts with you on their side was immense, you seemed to have a uparalled way of gaining information— completing every mission Rhysand threw at you with ease.

Every day since you had joined the Night Court Azriel has been trying to spy out any information on you. Every interaction was a sort of competionion; as if he was just waiting for you to betray the Night Court. Azriel didn't trust you and you believed that he never would. After all, how could someone just appear. He couldn't stand how noone seemed to have information on you. It was like you just appeared and he hated that.

If anyone was going to expose you for some sort of spy it was going to be him.

You winnowed into your room; you hadn't changed or even decorated the blank space ever since the room was assigned to you. You didn't leave a trace that this room was even yours besides your clothes. You could feel Azriel lurking in the shadows of the room; trying to be sneaky but failing miserably. You knew that Azriel never trusted you but, you always paid him no mind.

Just as you're about to settle in for bed Azriel appears out of the shadows— the nightly ritual of interrogating you for even a hint of information about your past. "You're later than usual." He notes. "What mission did Rhysand send you on today?"
