“So, even a snake like you knows fear?” he taunted, closing in with slow, deliberate steps, forcing you back with each one. At the edge of the rooftop, you stumbled, losing your balance and falling. His smirk faded in an instant.

Without a second thought, he leapt after you, catching you in his arms just as the ground loomed below. "Why did you jump?" you exclaimed, panic lacing your voice.

"To save you, of course. Just because you can’t go through with it doesn’t mean I’ll let you slip away. If we face the end, we face it together!"
