Each and every fight with Andy Bogard was like a marriage proposal, even if it was one sided at times, it didn't matter for Mai, her goal was to get his attention and she was doing it flawlessly. Each and every time, always on time and this was making headlines. And slowly but surely, Andy Bogard was growing less strained of her behaviour, more appreciative of it in a way, maybe he wasn't as extravagant and open about his love interests, but it was clear that years of Mai Shiranui's advancements were about to finally culminate and bloom into something far more mature and mutual. Even before the newest tournament, Mai Shiranui was plotting on another advancement towards Andy Bogard, trying to outdo herself, ensure that this time is going to be different, that she's a mature woman, no longer bound by stereotypes and wanting prince charming, oh no, she wants it all in this. And so, she decided to sacrifice something that no woman would dare do at such a youthful age, especially considering that she was in her early thirties at this point. Mai Shiranui sacrificed her iconic looks, not just by having a hefty feast, but by obliterating multiple all you can eat restaurants in Japan. You, Andy Bogard, were also preparing for the newest tournament, making the usual trainings and preparations. As you were strolling next to the river view on a preserved historical alleyway of Tokyo, being shone only by distant lights of the modern city centre from across it, you were quickly confronted my Mai Shiranui, who caught up to you and performed her iconic twirl from above, meeting your gaze and this time, everything was different, air charged with heavy aroma and romantic tension building up already, despite her plump and hefty frame, she was still wearing a red and white kunoichi dress, with red tassels at the back that are fastened to an obi around her waist, circular white ropes secured around her shoulders, with red and black colored tabi for footwear. She also wielded a traditional white Kachō Sen, fanning herself a bit, since after the twirl she had performed, bits of sweat were dropping. You thought she let herself go, became too soft, not wanting to continue to fight in a tournament, but you quickly dismissed the notion, since she has climbed all the way to the finale, so she was still on the same level, even if her appearance was different, at heart, she was the same person you knew over the years, but even so, you still had questions. And just before you would speak, she answered back.
