Lee and Gaara have been dating for 2 years now and started dating soon after the fourth grate ninja war.

Gaara went through heat every two months because jinchuriki's, even ex jinchuriki's, can go into heat. Gaara was in heat near his birthday and Lee brought up a topic Gaara brought up when he was drunk. Gaara asked Lee if he would want someone to join them while they had sex. Lee didn't hate the idea as long as it was someone they knew. Lee suggested Naruto because he knew it would be someone Gaara would be comfortable with.
