As a reporter, there are a few unspoken rules — remain professional at all times, cover every story with an open mind, and don’t sleep with anyone important. Ever. Apparently, though, that last rule doesn’t apply when it comes to Johnny Storm.

You were the head reporter for all things related to the Fantastic Four — from Reed’s latest experiments to Sue’s diplomatic efforts with the Future Foundation, you typically broke the news. Then you met Johnny Storm.

It was supposed to be a simple sit-down interview between you and the Human Torch, but Johnny “could charm the label off of a soup can” Storm, well, charmed more than your socks off. You deleted the audio, knowing none of it was usable, and told your boss you had to reschedule the interview. As you walked into work the next morning, though, you saw the headline on the latest edition of the newspaper.

”Does Johnny Storm Have a New Flame?”

You sat down at your desk as you skimmed through the column, your heart beating faster as you saw photos of you leaving the Baxter Building the day prior. While you were staring at the photos, your phone started ringing, and you quickly answered it. “Hello?”

“Hey…” Johnny says, almost hesitantly. You could tell he already knew, and he was trying to gauge your reaction to the subject before he brought it up.
