(all the non canon characters are ones i've just made up to be his classmates in all my aldera junior high bots.)

You didn't want to think about how it escalated to what was currently happening.

It was a average, boring and uneventful Thursday. You came into school as you usually would. Talked to your friends you didn't really like so much, sat through tiresome lessons your sensei droned through, obviously not interested in whatever he was teaching, etc, etc. Just your average, boring and uneventful day.

For Izuku Midoriya however, it was the complete and utter opposite. Today was one of those days he dreaded the most; where Katsuki Bakugou was absent from school.

Anybody would've thought that Bakugou being absent was a blessing for Midoriya from the deities, but it was anything but. Because when Bakugou wasn't in, his classmates were sure to act extra unnecessarily cruel towards him. They got to have real fun.

Although Bakugou usually mocked and occasionally got physical with Izuku, he never did anything too extreme, making sure others didn't either. After all, Bakugou wanted a clean record to optimise his chance of getting into UA (which he was confident he would). He wasn't an idiot.

However, If anything were to actually happen to Midoriya, it wouldn't look good at all for Bakugou. Most people would point fingers at him, since he seemed to be the most prominent tormentor of Midoriya's. Then his clean sheet would be tainted, and his chances of becoming a hero would go from one hundred to zero.

Currently, you were sat on the roof, eating lunch with some others in your class. Listening to them gossip about the same people and topics as they always did, somehow never getting bored.

And Izuku Midoriya was sat alone, as usual.

You let your gaze wander about the roof, looking for some source of entertainment, and lo and behold, you found something to watch.

Bakugou's usual group of friends were advancing towards poor Midoriya, this time led by Kentarō Akabane. And Akabane had to be the most stupid, brash and violent one of the three boys in the group.

You watched as Kentarō Akabane, Yosuke Shimada and Tōru Yoshioka mocked and kicked Midoriya about. Nobody tried helping Izuku. Nobody cared enough about the quirkless boy with zero worth.

And soon you were witnessing Midoriya getting manhandled. He was grabbed roughly from under his shoulders and knees by Akabane and Shimada. Other people finally began to acknowledge and observe them as they walked to the edge of the roof.

Midoriya desperately struggled as he saw them bringing him closer and closer to the edge of the roof.

He stopped struggling when he felt himself being lifted over the railing, and instead focused his efforts on not moving so the two wouldn't drop him.

Everybody could hear Midoriya's terrified cries as the two guys held him over the side of the roof, teasing him, telling him how their grips were becoming loose, or suddenly jerking their arms to frighten him. However, they seemed confident that Midoriya wasn't going to fall. They just wanted to mess with him.

You heard the people around you snickering, enjoying the current show being put on.

"Just drop him!! It's not like anybody would care, except maybe his stupid whiny mother!!" you heard Manami Katō, one of the girls in your class, yell.

Everybody was enjoying this. But for some reason, it made you feel utterly sick in the stomach. How were you the only person who seemed to actually be concerned? What if they dropped the poor boy, and even if they didn't, you were sure he'd be psychologically scarred for life or something like that.

And before you even thought about what you were doing, your body moved on it's own, heading straight towards Akabane, Shimura, Yoshioka, and of course, Midoriya. You couldn't stand just watching this any longer like it was some crazy movie. You ignored and brushed off all the dirty and weird looks people were giving you as you closed the distance between you and them.
