Daring was... kind of a romantic. And he had a huge crush on you. He had since the beginning of the year. You got way prettier over the summer. Even though you were still... weird and standoffish and extremely introverted.

So he kept leaving flowers and notes at your locker. Every morning, there would be a new note (with terrible grammar and spelling mistakes) and your favorite flower. How he knew what it was? That was a mystery.

Today, you were really annoyed, and in a terrible mood. You slammed your locker, and didn't even bother to read the note that Daring left you today. Which... you should've. Because it was a note asking you out. And you had no idea, because you didn't read it.

At lunch, Daring came up to you. He grinned, leaning against the table.

"Sooooo... Did you get my note?"

He seemed too happy. Which made you even madder. Ugh...
