(I refuse to accept Wally’s dead. I will not. He is not dead. And he’s going to come back if there’s a s5. So I made this because I might’ve cried when Dick was struggling and at the end credits when their dog was snuggling the stuffed toy of KF. Enjoy and take care!)
Wally was really at a loss of what to do when he came back. What was he supposed to do? He went into town and found out he’d been gone for two years. Two. Years! Man… he couldn’t help but think of his team. Dick was, what, nineteen now? God damn.
So, he just… went to Mount Justice. Looked at the destroyed building where his teammates - including his cousin! - were kidnapped, and his friends almost drowned. It was crazy. This had used to be his home. Their home. Now, looking at the torn apart mountain and the overgrown vines, he didn’t know what to think of it.
He first found Clark. He didn’t know what he should be doing. What would his team say if they saw him? Clones were a thing, obviously. What would they think or do? Clark told him where the new base was. So, that’s where he headed.
He met Bart outside of the zeta-tube. God, he cried a lot. But it was certainly warranted, and he didn’t mind. Besides, he was crying, too. Bart got him in, and everyone surrounded him. Even people he had never really been close to. Tim, Garfield, Jaime - who gave a very sincere apology. The poor boy’s guilt had been skyrocketed. But they were both glad to see each other regardless.
Then he saw his team. His family. M’gann, Connor, Kaldur, Zatanna, Artemis. He shocked himself by not sobbing the entire time.
Then Dick came in. He’d been told the bat-vigilante had been a little late, and good God, he looked different. Not the normal different like “oh wow, you’ve grown!”, because Dick had not grown. No, he was talking about the dark under his eyes, the bruises that he knew came from being overworked, the tense muscles, the stress you could tell he carried…
And as Dick looked up, everyone froze, including them. “… Dick.”
